Description
An intelligent spaceborne civilization that exists as energetic clouds of ionized gas.  The Calamarain had some kind of prior experience with Q, and though he denied doing anything 'bizarre' or 'grotesque' to them, they came seeking vengeance on Q when he sought refuge on the Enterprise-D after he became mortal in 2366.  Commander Data was seriously injured while protecting Q from their attack.  The Calamarain can emit berthold rays (Deja Q -TNG).
