Description
Intelligent lifeforms.  The Grisella hibernate for six months at a time.  Captain Picard chose the Grisella as mediators in a dispute in 2366 between the Sheliak and the Federation over the evacuation of the Federation's Tau Cygna V colony in accordance with the Treaty of Armens.  The choice was intended by Picard to delay enforcement of the evacuation (The Ensigns of Command -TNG).
