Description
Civilization that remains unknown to the Federation.  Able to manipulate energy on many levels, the Paxans existed on a terraformed protoplanet in the Ngame Nebula.  The Paxans exhibited extremely xenophobic behaviour and protected their planet by means of an energy field that appeared to be an unstable wormhole.  Passage through the field put unsuspecting starship crews into a state of biochemical stasis, so such ships would be towed out of Paxan space without the crew's knowledge (Clues -TNG).
