Description
Technologically advanced humanoid civilization from the Delta Quadrant.  Ramuran bodies produce a pheomone that blocks long-term memory engrams in other species, so that any encounter by a non-Ramuran is forgotten by the non-Ramuran within a matter of hours.  The Ramurans were fearful of contact with other worlds.  They enhanced their biochemical trait technologically to prevent detection, using means including computer viruses that would erase any record of contact with the Ramurans, as well as polarization cloaks that prevented detection of their ships.  The Ramuran government did not allow any of its citizens to leave their society.  The government employed enforcement agents called tracers to track down any ramuran who tried to escape, then to erase any memory or record of the Ramurans that might be retainedby non-Ramurans.  Kellin and Cumeth were Ramuran tracers (Unforgettable -VGR).
