Description
Humanoid pre-industrial bronze-age civilization that existed on a Class-M planet in the Delta Quadrant.  Takarian mythology held that Great Sages would come from the sky to rule over the people as benevolent protectors.  The Takarians had a flourishing society until two Ferengi from the Alpha Quadrant arrived in 2366 and pretended to be the Great Sages from ancient lore.  The false demigods were banished by the U.S.S. Voyager crew in 2373 (False Profts -VGR).
